In the name of god amen The xviij th day of January in the ninth yeare of the reigne of our Sovereigrie lord James by the grace of god of England France and Ireland king defender of the faythe [..] and of Scotland the xlvth   I William Badnold of Litellworth in the parish of Chipping Farringdon in the County of Barks yeoman being sick in body but in good and perfect memory thanks be gevin to god doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme folowing. That is to say first I geve and bequeth my soule to almighty god my maker and Redemer and my body to be buried in the parish Church of Farringdon aforesaid   Ips I geve and bequeth unto John Badnold and Thomas Badnold my Brethren all my whole estate and terme of yeares yet to come of on yardland wth thapurtenannces in Litellworth if my brother Henry Badnold will geve his good will and consent thearunto  Its I geve and bequeth unto my brother John Badnold three sonnes all my wearing aparrill: all the rest of my goodes Chatills and Catell moveable and unmoveable whatsoever my depts and legacyes being payd and my funerall dischardgid I geve and bequeth unto my brother John Badnold and my brother Thomas Badnold whome I make my whole executors of this my last will and testament Witnesses to the same Jane Southby and Edward Badnold

It before all things I bequethe my sowle to Almightie god my maker & Redemer, And my bodye to be buried in in the Church or Church yarde of Farringdon whem it shall please god to call me

It I geve & bequethe to my three sonnes and my dawghter Thomas Badnall John Badnall Edmonnd Badnall, And to Elinor Badnall, All the corne, which belongeth to my Parte, whiche I have Sowed to halfes in Littell Feelds, to be Equallye devided betwene them at harviste

It all the Reste of my goods movable & unmoveable and unbequethed, I geve & bequethe to my Wyf Margeret Badnall to see my debtes & my Funerall discharged  Whom I make my Sole Executrixe

NONCUPATIVE WILL OF EDWARD BADNOULL OF CASSWELL MARSH  BERKSHIRE  1625

MEMORAND that uppon Satterday viz the Seaventeeth daie of September in the yeare of our Lord god One Thousand Six Hundred Twentie and Five Edward Badnoll whylest he lived of Caswell Marsh in the parish of Buckland and within the Archdeaconrie of Berks husbandman lying in his bed in a lowe roome of his dwelling howse situat and being in Caswell Marsh aforesaid in the Presence and hearing of James Newman of Fifield creek in the Countie of Berks husbandman Margaret Sextie of Northmore in the Countie of Oxon widow and Marie Arnoll of Clanfield in the said Countie of Oxon widow did make and declare his last will and Testament Nuncupative by words of mouth as followeth viz First he did will give and bequeath to his daughter Marie Arnoll one good sheepe  Item he did will give and bequeath to the daughter of the said Marie Arnoll viz Agnes Arnoll one sheepe Item he did will and bequeath to Walter Blunt one coate, and all the rest of his goods he did leave will and bequeath unto Alice his wief whom he did make and appoint his Executor.
